Here is a song I wrote along with two amazing co-writers, and a collaboration of videos of my mother and I over the last few years. Mom is my biggest cheerleader and supporter. My mom has dementia. Confusion, lack of communication, and normal function or understanding. She still has feelings and emotions... fear, strength, humor, and love. The experience for mom, my family and myself as a daughter to dementia (the demon disease) has been a nightmare impossible to wake up from. We have no choice but to accept the nightmare and learn how to live positively within it. I still struggle to keep my reaction and emotions under control. I want to trade the pain for purpose.
